Frequently Asked Questions

Welcome to our frequently asked questions page. If you have a query about coaching or about of our programs and services then they may have already been answered on this page. Alternatively, if you can't find the answer you are looking for, get in touch via our contact page and we will happily assist you. Corporate clients may wish to contact us directly in order to answer specific questions relating to their needs.

1. Can I book a free consultation?

For most of our services, we offer an initial consultation whereby we use this time to explain how the service will work as well as aligning your goals to the coaching program. This is also a good time to make sure you are comfortable and happy with your coach and the service they are going to provide.

Consultations can be arranged in person or via email/skype/phone. Sometimes an initial consultation is enough to get people back on track so it is well worth getting in touch to find out more.

Organisations: An initial telephone conversation followed by a potential meeting to scope your requirements.

2. How do I purchase one of your programs?

If you are interested in one of our programs or services then please get in touch via our contacts page to find out more about prices and costs.

Each client will have different requirements and we try to tailor each of our services to the clients needs.

The cost of your coaching service or package is payable in full but can also be spread over the duration of the program in monthly installments by standing order - We will aim to accommodate each of our clients depending on their circumstances.

3. What is Coaching?

Coaching is the facilitation of exploring the needs, wants, values, motivations, passions and thoughts of an individual in order to assist them through an important change. Coaching is used in many fields such as life, career, personal development, relationships and much more.

A coach is different to a therapist or a counselor. We are not teachers; instead we guide individuals and act as a catalyst for their own learning and realisations through the use of past experiences and deeply-thought questioning. Coaching is for everyone.

4. Where do one-to-one sessions take place?

While we have a number of premises we use on a regular basis, we will discuss a mutually convenient time and location with each of our clients and if applicable, use of digital media such as skype etc.

5. How many sessions will I need?

Every client is different. Some may wish to focus on a specific area and as such select appropriate module(s).

We do offer a complete program (Life Step_24), which is typically completed within a 12 week period.

For all our clients, reflection time between sessions is important.  We recognise that clients have other commitments so we work with them to understand their availability and schedule a timeline to optimise sessions and outcomes.

6. Which of your programs is right for me?

We offer a number of programs and services, which can be uniquely built to an individual's specifications. Our pre-packed programs such as Life Step_24 offer a number of benefits and typically benefit those who are unsure which direction they want to go in.

Take a look through our programs and services and get in touch to discuss various modules that we can offer. We recommend you book an initial consultation just to hear how Life Step could help you.

7. I'm an athlete, what can Life Step do for me?

Whatever type of athlete you are, you no doubt want to be the best you can and we commend you for that however, it is a tough business.

More and more young athletes are growing up with the dream of becoming a professional athlete but they seem to forget that the likelihood of making it to that level is very, very slim (1% in some sports).

Life Step Management offers a safety net for athletes to fall back on if their sporting career doesn't work out or for when they eventually retire. We encourage anyone to be optimistic about what they want to achieve but if you go into something blindly and without a plan, you are destined to crash.

Our programs and services guide athletes to learn essential life skills that will prolong their successes way after their playing/competing years come to an end.

8. What is your cancellation policy?

Coaching: We try to be as flexible as possible with our clients, especially if a session is cancelled due to an important emergency. We insist clients are open to us and give us plenty of notice if a session is to be cancelled.

For evening and weekend sessions we require more than 24hours notice if you cannot make a session or you could get charged for that session.

Programs: We do not offer refunds on personal programs as considerable time will have been spent on building and developing them for each individual client.

9. Confidentiality?

All notes, recordings, and information from any sessions or programs will be treated with the utmost respect and will not be shared with anyone.

Sessions with individuals from sporting clubs, organisations or businesses will also be reassured if any information is to be shared with other members. However, we encourage that all information is to remain confidential to the individual involved.

Some modules within our programs may require discussions/information from family members, friends or other people you may know. This information is for your benefit in order to develop through the modules however if you wish not to partake in these tasks this will not hinder your development.
